Emergency Assistance

EmergencyWe also believe that for many of the children and families we have met and assisted over the years there are certain times when there seems to be no hope. When we are able, we respond to emergencies situations. In the past K.I.D.S. supported 11 families who had lost their houses and all their possessions to a fire. The fire burnt down their closely built thatched houses leaving the families distraught and desperate. We were able to assist the villagers with materials so that they could rebuild their houses and we bought clothing, cooking supplies and food for the families; we also ensured that the children had school uniforms so they could quickly return to school. We have assisted families with medicine for very sick children as well as funds to have a proper burial for a child that has died. We have paid for emergency hospital care and we have purchased rice for hungry families.
