Education Sponsorship

Child labour is a fact of life in Cambodia and K.I.D.S is working hard to change this sad situation. We now have over 50 young people from extremely poor families in our sponsorship program. Each year we provide the students with everything they need to attend school as well as English lessons and tutoring. It is great to see some of these young people graduate and go on to training programs where they will learn a trade and change their futures and the futures of their families.

Upon graduating from high school the students are enrolled into a hospitality-training program, as employment in the tourist industry is almost certain in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In addition, K.I.D.S. sponsors many students to go to university and into vocational training programs for various trades. Once the students are employed they can assist their families and siblings and pursue further university education if they choose.

K.I.D.S. sponsors small rural Cambodian English classes by providing school supplies, a teacher’s stipends and meal programs for children struggling with food security.
